The trust awards grants to organisations, charities and other local groups that work for the benefit of individuals and communities within a twenty-five radius of Halesowen.
Organisations can apply only for projects that benefit clients or communities within a twenty five mile radius of Halesowen.
Trustees will consider help for an organisation during its early stages or for a special project but will not normally make regular annual grants for more than three consecutive years.
Because the Trust’s income is not guaranteed and because many new and worthwhile causes need support, the Trustees seek to discourage continuing dependency.
Grants cannot be considered for the promotion of political or religious activities.
Grants will not normally be given to pay off debts, nor for educational bursaries.
To comply with the General Data Protection Regulation 2018 a signed consent form must be completed, and returned as part of the application process.
A full set of the organisation’s latest accounts must also be submitted.
Under certain circumstances the trustees will consider applications on behalf of individuals. Each application should be submitted by a professional person(e.g. social worker, case worker etc.) acting on behalf of the individual.
The Trustees are able to consider applications for grants only to individuals who are resident within a twenty-five mile radius of Halesowen.
Grants are usually awarded in cases of emergency. They are not normally awarded for regular living expenses, educational bursaries, start-up business costs or the payment of debts. However, they can be awarded for essential equipment, furnishings etc. In exceptional circumstances these rules may be relaxed.
Each grant is a one-off payment, and organisations cannot re-apply for the same individual. However, an organisation can apply for a number of different individual clients.
